Gift Card Balance Report

The Gift Card Balance report provides information on user gift card balances within the system including the gift card code, starting balance, and remaining balance.

 

 

Important Note

  • If using the Claim Gift Card Organization Option, the report will only show gift card purchases and will not display utilization information such as where it was used, etc. Please contact Support if you want to change how your gift card behavior works or set it up as a payment type.

 

Instructions

  1. Navigate to the Reports tab
    reports
  2. Search for and select Gift Card Balance

  3. Click the refresh button to pull the most recent information
    refresh report
  4. Review the report
    gift card report
    • Number: The gift card code number
    • Transaction: The transaction number for the purchase or utilization of the gift card
    • Date: The date of the transaction
    • Type: Specifies if the transaction was a purchase or utilization of a gift card
    • Account: Lists the account holder for the transaction
    • Starting Balance: The original balance of the gift card
    • Amount Used: The amount of the gift card balance that has been used
    • Amount Remaining: The balance still available on the gift card

    There has to be a better way to check balances than this report. If we have a customer walk up and ask how much is remaining on a gift card and we run this it can take a very long time to figure out. There are no filters and fields that can help limit the report to a number of results that is manageable. Please add some filters like amount remaining filters or user account filters something more than this. It would be even better to have a function in the catalog that could check gift card balances by typing in the number.
