This article will show you how to set up a schedule for a session using the Relative Date option. The Relative Date field indicates that the session will recur on the weekday and week of the month that the original start date occurs, instead of a specific date.
Example Schedules
For this example, the Start Date is August 20, 2021, which is the third Friday of the month. By selecting a Monthly repeat schedule and Relative Date, the schedule will repeat on the third Friday of every month.
You can see the description of this in the Schedule Details for the session on the Catalog:
Note: If Relative Date was not selected then the schedule would repeat on the 20th of each month, regardless of the day of the week, instead of the 3rd Friday of the month.
For this example, the Start Date is August 3, 2021, which is the first Tuesday of the month. By selecting a Yearly repeat schedule and Relative Date, the schedule will repeat every year on the first Tuesday of August.
You can see the description of this in the Schedule Details for the session on the Catalog:
Note: If Relative Date was not selected then the schedule would repeat on August 3rd of every year, regardless of the day of the week, instead of every year on the first Tuesday of August.
