If you do not prepare for auto-billing with your Authorize.net account, you will run into issues.
- Review your account setup. It is best if you have an Authorize.net blended account or you will run into issues with cards-on-file. If you do have cards on file across accounts, it may be possible for you to do a partner-to-partner transfer. You will have to work with your merchant services provider to see if this is even an option for you. If this is not an option, more than likely you will have to abandon your collected cards and start fresh in order to get your payment processing straightened out. This means that you will have to re-collect cards from your customers again.
- Review your fraud detection settings. You will want to make sure that you can accommodate large spikes in transactions for when your auto-billing runs.
