There are two options for redeeming gift cards within CivicRec. Only one method can be selected, and this method will apply to all gift cards. This article will show you how to redeem a gift card with the Gift Card Payment Type. In this method, when a customer purchases a gift card, they will be given a unique gift card code on their receipt. This code will then need to be input with each purchase until the gift card is out of funds. For this process, the gift card funds are not associated with any account, so users will not be able to track their remaining balance. Staff, however, can pull a report to view all gift card balances.
View the Set Up and Redeem Gift Card with User Credit article for details on the second option.
