Cost Centers in CivicRec represent departments, locations, or another type of unit or group within an organization that uses costs for accounting purposes. Most users utilize Cost Centers for expense tracking.
Workstations represent physical terminals/workstations at a given location. For example, if you had a front desk with two PCs, you could have "Front Desk A" and "Front Desk B" as workstations. In closeout, you can see how much a given cash drawer should have. They are also useful for general record-keeping. Upon login, indicate the workstation that you are working on.
