Update QZ Tray

In order to update the QZ Tray for your Receipt Printer, you will have to uninstall your current version and upload the new version directly from the QZ Tray site.

Instructions

On your computer, search for and select the Control Panel
Select Uninstall a Program
Select the QZ Tray
Right-click and select Uninstall
Click Uninstall on the pop-up screen
Click Close to exit the install window
Navigate to the QZ Site
Select v2.0.12 or an older version and download the .EXE file
- Note: CivicRec supports version 2.0.12 and back. Please do not download 2.1 or higher as it may interfere with the performance of the receipt printers.
Open the downloaded file and click Next
Click Install
Click Close once the installation is complete
- Note: If your printer does not work after your installation, restart your printer. If that does not work, restart your computer.

Please see attachment below regarding QZ Tray app. As of December 2021, civicrec approved version 2.1.5 As of March 2022, there is a 2.1.6 Can we update QZ Tray app with 2.1.6 version?
