Check-In/Scan Tickets

Overview 

This article will show you how to check-in/scan tickets on the day of the event.

Important Notes

  • If you want to scan tickets for an event, you must sign into the location of the event.
  • The date on the ticket must also match the date of the event in CivicRec. If they do not match, you cannot proceed with check-in or scanning.

Instructions

  1. Select Check-In at the top of the screen

    • Note: You can only check-in on the day for which the activity is scheduled.
  2. Select Ticket

  3. Scan the barcode or manually input the ticket number

    We had an event this weekend and had trouble scanning tickets from mobile devices. Can you advise as to the type of scanner that should be used so we can capture barcodes from a phone screen?

    Hi Michelle,

    We currently do not have a recommendation for a scanning device that works with mobile devices. The only recommended hardware that we have right now is listed on our Hardware Recommendations article: https://www.civicrec.civicplus.help/hc/en-us/articles/115004564114-Hardware-Recommendations-. If you use a device with similar features of another from that article, the hardware should work. I apologize for the inconvenience.
