This article will show you how to integrate your Recreation Management (Rec) calendar with a Municipal Websites Central (Web Central) calendar. This process consists of 3 main steps.
Important Note
CivicPlus' Integration Hub can also be used to sync your Rec (formerly CivicRec) calendar with Web Central (formerly CivicEngage). CivicPlus organizations have an Integration Hub instance. Is there anyway to customize the way the calendars are viewed online by patrons. As in what info is share with them and how it looks?
Hi Tim,
Once you have added the calendar feed to CivicEngage, you can set the design and permissions of the calendar category and configure how the calendar widget displays on the CivicEngage site.
Thanks!
Clara,
Is there anywhere I can control what info is put into the calendar, see below picture. If is just want it to say 5:00-9:00 PM Rental, is that possible.
Hi Tim,
The calendar will bring over the information that is entered into the activity/session, facility/location, and the time of the event in CivicRec.
Clara,
Similar question to the above. I need the Calendar Feed to display the details for the rental. i.e.
12:00 PM Rental Pavilion 1 (Barnes Park) 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM Jones Family
not
12:00 PM Rental Pavilion 1 (Barnes Park) 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM Rental
How would I be able to accomplish this?
Hi Harrison,
The event title will always pull the following information from CivicRec when using the feed URL: The date and time of the event, the names of the activity and session, and the names of the facility and location for the rental.
If your organization has access to CivicPlus' Integration Hub, you can use the calendar integration to customize which fields are brought over from CivicRec. Your Client Success Manager or Support will be able to assist you with access to Integration Hub.
