Create an Account

Overview

This article will show you how to setup a new Account.

Instructions

  1. Click Setup New Account on your homepage

  2. Fill in fields

    • Note: Fields will vary based on your site, including required fields.
    • Account Type: Select Individual or Organization
    • Name (required): Enter First/Middle/Last Name and/or indicate their Suffix
    • Date of Birth, Age Group (required): Enter the user's birthday OR their Age Group
    • Gender (required): Select Male or Female
    • Phone 1-3: Input Phone number, Label (cell, home, etc), and indicate their Mobile Carrier
    • Email Preferences: Click Add Email to add an email address
    • Apply Contact Change To Other Household Members: Sync contact information for all associated account members
    • Address Line 1/2 (required): Enter address information
    • Zip Code, City, State (required): Enter additional address information
    • Residency Override: Choose between three options:
      • User's Address Determines Residency: Default choice
      • Force User as Resident: Indicate the user as a resident, regardless of their address
      • Force User as Non-Resident: Indicate the user as a non-resident, regardless of their address
    • Primary Email: Add a primary email
    • Username: Leaving blank will use email
    • Generate Password: A password will be generated and emailed to the user
      • Note: Passwords must be at least 8 characters long and contain characters from at least 3 of the following 4 categories: lower case letters, upper case letters, numbers, special characters.
    • User Type: Indicate the user as a Public User or Internal Staff Member
  3. Navigate to Other Account Members to add new associated account members

  4. Click Add Account Member

  5. Enter their information:

    • First/Last/Gender: Add first and last name and indicate their gender
    • Birthday/Age Group/Grade: Indicate their birthday, age group, and/or grade
  6. Click Add Account Member again to create another account member

  7. To add Organizations, view our article Add Associated Users to an Organizational Account
  8. Click Save New User
